
The school bell rang on Tuesday, September 2, in the Bridgewater-Raritan Regional School District. Students sprang off buses, exited automobiles, and strolled from the sidewalks into all 11 schools, where they were greeted by smiling staff members on the first day of the school year.

The Spring Chorus Concert was brilliantly performed by the 5th and 6th Grade choir students at the Hillside Intermediate School. The 5th Grade Chorus Concert was presented Wednesday evening, May 7, and the 6th Grade Chorus Concert was scheduled for Thursday evening, May 8. Both grades performed during a school-day assembly on the morning of Thursday, May 8. Here are scenes from the chorus assembly on that morning of May 8.









Hillside's Roots & Shoots Backyard Workday is scheduled for Saturday, May 10, 2025 from 10am to 1pm. Please volunteer to maintain the trails in the woods, clear weeds, clean up the area, and work on projects to improve the outdoor classroom areas. The Roots & Shoots Committee is looking for parent and student volunteers to help with these efforts. Parents/Guardians are required to accompany their children for the duration of the event and are welcome to bring other family members. The permission form is available in the latest administrative eblast.


A splendid performance of Beauty and the Beast JR.. opened on the evening of Wednesday, April 2, at the Hillside Intermediate School. A standing-room-only crowd jammed into the school's multi-purpose room and they were entertained by the talented student actors from the Hillside Drama Club. The production will be shown for a second and final time on Thursday, April 3, at 7 p.m. Here are some scenes from this wonderful show.









The Band Concert, the third and final musical series in the BRRSD Festival of the Arts, was performed on Thursday night, March 27, at Bridgewater-Raritan High School's gymnasium. The fourth and final show in the Festival of the Arts will be the Visual Arts exhibit on May 22.







The Festival of the Arts continued with the Orchestra Concert on Wednesday night, March 26, at Bridgewater-Raritan High School, where intermediate, middle school and high school students performed. The Festival's final musical show, the Band Concert, is Thursday, March 27.

Hillside Intermediate School held its highly successful STEAM Expo on Thursday, March 20.
Here are a few of the 92 projects that were on display that evening.

The Bridgewater-Raritan Regional School District's Festival of the Arts opened on Wednesday, March 19, when the Choral Concert was performed at Bridgewater-Raritan High School's main gym. The Orchestra Concert is set for March 26, and the Band Concert will be played on March 27.


Broadway Night, which featured the choirs from Bridgewater-Raritan High School, Bridgewater-Raritan Middle School, Eisenhower Intermediate School and Hillside Intermediate School, was performed on Wednesday, February 19, and Thursday, February 20, in the BRHS auditorium.

The school district’s PD (Professional Development) Day was held on January 29, when speakers held productive sessions on a wide range of topics at numerous school buildings throughout Bridgewater-Raritan.

The Bridgewater-Raritan Regional Schol District PD (Professional Development) Day was held on January 29, when speakers held productive sessions on a wide range of topics at numerous school buildings throughout the district.





The options to play a musical instrument in the band and the orchestra in the coming year were presented to the 4th Grade students at Adamsville Primary School on Thursday, January 30.
The music teachers and directors from the Hillside Intermediate School were on hand to discuss what instruments Adamsville students can play once they enter the school in September.
The Band Teacher and Director, Patricia Kearns, and the Orchestra Teachers and Directors, Tom Lewis and Carrie Jendza, played the vicarious instruments and discussed each one during their session for the Adamsville students to consider what they will want to play if they choose to participate next school year.
Fliers on the opportunities were given to the students to bring home to their parents and guardians. The Hillside teachers also reported that they can participate in the choral program at Hillside under Director Tony Sgro if they wish.
“We were here to explain what they can participate in if they want to play an instrument when they come to Hillside,” Ms. Kearns said.
