Lembo at family night

Read Across America Week is also a Favorite Week of the Year at the Milltown Primary School.

Read Across America Week is celebrated throughout the Bridgewater-Raritan Regional School District and across the country during the week of March 3-7.

At Milltown, the week features Milltown Reading Night, which was held on the evening of Wednesday, March 5.

A large gathering from the Milltown community attended the festive evening of fun—and reading.

Classrooms contained students and readers while a book fair was the attraction in the media room.

Dr. Matt Lembo, Milltown’s passionate principal, held his reading session in the gymnasium.

He also provided his summary of this highly popular event, including pointing out the sound efforts of Gina Cocivera-Wright, Milltown’s devoted Media Specialist, and Andrea McKenna, Milltown’s valuable main office staffer.

“Under the leadership of Mrs. Cocivera-Wright and Mrs. Mckenna, our Read Across America Team has grown this week into a celebration of literacy, togetherness, creativity, and Milltown School,” Principal Lembo said.

He added:

“Along with our supportive families we celebrate, grow, and read all week - this has become one of our favorite weeks of the year.”
