Planting season has arrived at the Milltown Primary School.
And also arriving were Boy Scouts, including Milltown graduate Sohum Shahir.
He and his fellow Boy Scout buddies came to Milltown and partnered with the current Milltown Mountain Lions in bringing the school’s learning garden back to life.
According to Dr. Matt Lembo, the Milltown Principal, “this was the first day of their project, and they spent hours working side by side with parents weeding, cleaning, and preparing our garden for a fall planting later this month.”
Dr. Lembo added:
"It was with great pride and appreciation that I had the chance to spend time with this wonderful group. It was truly amazing watching the team put so much time into the project. I can't wait for the planting! Milltown is very lucky to have so many children and parents who take such pride in our school!"
