The wonders of winter were celebrated indoors by the Milltown Primary School community on Friday evening, January 23.
Two days before the massive snowstorm blanketed New Jersey—and a good portion of the entire country—Milltown’s Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) sponsored the Winter Wonderland, an annual fun party to warm the spirits of the community.
Valerie Lucas, who is the Milltown PTO President, shared the wonders of the night.
“Winter Wonderland was a huge success and full of fun from start to finish! Students and families enjoyed a festive photobooth to capture memories, along with craft stations where kids created winter-themed art and got playful tattoos,” Ms. Lucas explained.
She further discussed the energetic evening.
“One of the biggest highlights was the faux ice skating rink! Throughout the gym, kids rotated through a variety of exciting games. We had a dance party that turned into a whole-school conga line weaving through the crowd — truly a moment to remember! The evening wrapped up with an epic faux snowball fight, sending everyone home smiling and full of winter cheer. Just in time for our real snowstorm! “
Milltown Principal Dr. Matt Lembo also took in the festive evening.
"Our Winter Wonderland Party was a huge success! Thanks to our PTO, children, graduates, and parents came together to celebrate the season in true Milltown style. We danced, skated, crafted, played winter-themed games, and even had fun throwing pretend snowballs. The energy in the room was incredible, and it was wonderful to see our community laughing, moving, and celebrating together. Everyone had a blast! "
Respectfully,
Dr. Lembo
